What’s it like to work at Too Good To Go?

Well obviously it’s amazing! But we could be a little biased, so we decided we’d have a chat with three people in our marketing team to get their thoughts on what it’s really like at the Too Good To Go HQ.

Laura, Lea and Andreas work in different disciplines within our marketing department in Copenhagen.
So we started by asking them, what makes TGTG the place for you?

Lea - “There’s always someone ready to listen and give you feedback on any ideas you may have. It’s the team spirit that makes Too Good To Go a very special place to work.”

Laura from the global marketing team

It was great to hear Laura talk about setting up for success:

Laura - “I really feel like working in a company where everyone wants you to succeed is so important. I get that support daily from my manager and team mates.”

Andreas believes in working for a company with a strong purpose (here at Too Good To Go, we fight food waste).

Andreas - “It’s great to come to work and know you’re doing something good for the world. Everyone here is so passionate about what we do and I find inspiration in that, it fuels my curiosity as a designer”.

Andreas from the global marketing creative team

Day to day the variety in work is something that came up in all our conversations. We’re a fast-moving company so we know the people that thrive here are those that enjoy that atmosphere (read: can be slightly chaotic!). People come and get stuck in, we’re a young company but we’ve grown really fast so there is a real diversity in what people do everyday.

We asked all three to choose their favourite or most interesting project.

Lea decided on the “Often Good After” campaign in Denmark, which was aimed at raising awareness and educating people about date labelling on food. Research has shown that 10% of the 88 million tons of food being wasted in the value chain in Europe are due to confusion around date labelling.

Lea from the Danish marketing team

Laura is part of the growth team within the global marketing team. She’s just finished a project constructing automated marketing practices, which is a great push towards the scalability needed in a fast growing company. “It’s definitely been challenging at times, but it’s been worth it and the impact can already be seen which is awesome.”

Andreas is a designer and has been enjoying building Too Good To Go’s brand, developing new ideas and assets globally and for markets.

It was great to hear the views of Lea, Laura and Andreas. Our people are everything and we know that we need to keep up what we’re doing to retain (and hopefully attract) the best talent.

So what are you waiting for? If you’re interested to know more then please contact us, and as always, keep an eye on our careers page for any suitable opportunities!

We’ll leave you with our favourite quote from the interview:

Andreas - “This mission we're on is potentially a world-changing one - if that's not something to look forward to, what is?”
